Mechanics working in the Maintenance Hangar

Seaborne Airlines is a flag air carrier operating scheduled service in the United States and British Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico in the Caribbean.

Seaborne’s maintenance base is located in beautiful St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands. Our fleet consists of DHC-6 deHavilland Twin Otters with Pratt & Whitney PT6-27 engines and 3 new Saab 34oB’s arriving in October.

Mechanic Applicant Requirements

Must hold a valid F.A.A. airframe and powerplant license. Must hold a high school diploma and be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language. A minimum of two years experience maintaining medium twin engine turbo prop aircraft is required with experience on the DeHavilland DHC-6-300/P&W PT-6, Saab 340B/GECT7 is a plus. Applicant must be able to interpret maintenance, parts, and structural repair manual data.

Senior/Lead Mechanic Applicant Requirements

In addition to mechanic qualifications above, supervisor/lead applicants should have at least for years experience, with  at least two years in a F. A. R. 121 air carrier setting as a lead, crew chief, or other supervisory role.

Inspector Applicant Requirements

In addition to mechanic qualifications, applicants should have at least four years experience, with at least two years in a F.A.R. 121 air carrier setting and be familiar with RII policies and procedures.

Legal Status: Applicants must be able to prove legal right to work in the United States.
