Pilot Employment Information
2006 Ends with FOUR aircraft flying revenue service for Seaborne Airlines!
With keeping on schedule for aircraft arrivals, Seaborne was able to introduce a fourth aircraft to line service by years end of 2006. With the addition of our fourth aircraft we were able to better serve our local communities needs. In addition, it added to the flexibility of advancing our expansion goals for 2007 and 2008.
If you are a pilot looking for a different chapter in aviation, then Seaborne Airlines may be the place for you. The experience and training you will gain at Seaborne Airlines will place you head and shoulders above the rest in the Seaplane community. We train to FAR 121 standards. Our ground school takes place at the Seaborne Airlines Headquarters on St. Croix and simulator training in Toronto (Downsview), Canada at the Flight Safety International training facility. Aircraft training is conducted in St. Croix on our DHC-6-300 Twin Otter aircraft equipped with Wipline 13000 Floats.
Seaborne Airlines is authorized to conduct Domestic, Flag and Supplemental operations in the United States Virgin Islands and currently flies between St. Croix and St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Seaborne Airlines currently has two crew bases, St. Croix and St. Thomas.
Seaplane flying at Seaborne compares to no other as we service a community that relies heavily on Seaplane transportation between the islands. Providing this service results in a high tempo operation which demands high levels of safety. We have flights departing every 15 minutes thus averaging 40 to 50 flights per day with four aircraft. With the anticipated arrival of additional aircraft out of overhaul we plan to expand to over 60 flights a day while expanding new routes into the British Virgin Islands. Our goal is to have 6 aircraft in service by the end of 2007.
So, if you are a pilot that is still looking for some adventure and fun, Seaborne Airlines professionals encourage you to look into our requirements of eligibility for hire.
