St. Croix/St. Thomas Check-In (Flights Between US Virgin Islands)
Via Seaplane or AirShuttle
Check-In requirement for seaplane or airshuttle flights between the US Virgin Islands is 45 minutes prior to scheduled flight departure time. Flights are closed for check-in 20 minutes prior to flight time. Passengers who arrive after the 45 minute check in time may be placed on the stand-by list to wait for the next available flight time.
San Juan Check-In (Flights In or Out of San Juan, Puerto Rico)

San Juan airshuttle flights are closed for check-in 1 hour prior to scheduled flight departure time. To ensure on time departures, Seaborne Airlines requests that all passengers arrive well before the closing time of 1 hour prior. Passengers who arrive right at or after the 1 hour flight closing time may be placed on the stand-by list to wait for the next available flight time.
These Check-In policies will be enforced as of January 31st, 2009. We suggest you allow enough time in your plans for adequate Check-In. We appreciate your cooperation with this Check-In policy.
This advisory is an amendment to currently published Seaborne Airlines schedules and flyers. Our website reflects this change and our reservation staff is advising customers according to this current policy, effective January 31st, 2009.
Baggage
Allowance for each ticketed passenger is 30lbs. Baggage in excess of 30lbs will incur an additional charge of $1.25 per lb and be transported on a space available basis. No Carry on Bag Policy - Only exceptions are food, cameras (with no case), reading material, wallets, and small baby bags which must be searched by flight crew - total weight must not exceed 5 lbs.
Hazardous Materials
Seaborne Airlines is not allowed to carry hazardous materials such as spray paint, paint thinner, 140 and over plus proof spirits, pesticides, lye, and any item that contains compressed gases or flammable fuels and/or oils - even if drained.
Missing or Damaged Articles or Baggage
Preliminary loss or damage must be submitted to Seaborne Airlines immediately after arrival of flight for bags and within 24 hours for all other articles. Seaborne Airlines is NOT responsible for lost cash - and it should be removed from carry on purses or wallets prior to flight and carried in person.
Failure to present such notice within the time period indicated shall exempt Seaborne Airlines from any action of liability. Under no circumstances will Seaborne Airlines be liable for any special or consequential damages. Total liability for provable direct damages resulting from the loss, delay, or damage to baggage in the custody of Seaborne Airlines is limited to an amount equal to the proven value of the property and shall not exceed USD $750.00 per ticketed passenger.
Changes After ticket is purchased, a $10 fee will be charged for any changes plus difference in applicable fare. Cancellations not made prior to flight or a NO SHOW will result in the passenger being charged the full one way fare and return segment cancelled. Tickets may be re-issued for a $25 fee plus any difference in fare.

Delays
Seaborne Airlines shall not be responsible for any failure or delay in operating any flight according to schedule due to causes beyond its control or not caused by its negligence including, but not limited to, acts of God, governmental action, terrorism, weather, bomb threats, mechanical difficulties not caused by negligence, strikes or labor disputes, civil commotion, or hazards or dangers incidental to state of war. Seaborne Airlines will not be liable for meals, lodging or incidental expenses for passengers effected by flight cancellations or delay.
Immigration
Each passenger 18 and above must have a government issued picture ID. Proof of age is needed for passengers under 18. (Birth Certificate, School ID, or Passport are accepted). Passengers traveling to Puerto Rico must have proof of citizenship, a Passport is preferred, and however, an original Birth Certificate is acceptable for U.S. Citizens, as long as it is accompanied by a U.S. issued picture I.D. Passengers traveling to the British Virgin Islands must have a Passport.
Firearms According to Federal Regulations, anyone carrying a firearm, must declare the firearm upon check-in, complete a Declaration of Armed Individual, and ask for further instructions.
Reservations
To purchase a seat in advance for travel you will need a valid credit or ATH card to hold or pay for your ticket. You may reach reservations at www.seaborneonline.com or by calling 340-773-6442 in the USVI, PR and the BVI and toll free 866-FLY-USVI (866-359-8784).
Supplemental flights to from San Juan Isla Grande Airport may be reserved simply by purchasing a seat. You may arrange your trip by calling our travel specialists at 340-773-6442 or our local reservations office in Puerto Rico at 877-772-1005 or 787 292-6656.
Cash, credit, or ATH card may be used to pay or reserve seats at any Seaborne Airlines Check-in counter. To cancel your reservation please call (340) 773-6442. At least 2 hours prior to scheduled travel time.
If your flight is at 6:45am you must call 24 hours in advance. Reservation hours are Monday thru Friday 6:00am-7:30pm, Saturday6:00am-6:30pm and Sunday 7:00am-6:30pm.
CAUTION
Seaborne seaplane operates in a seashore and marine environment and unavoidably, our facilities are often slippery or wet. Passengers are urged to use extreme caution on all docks, ramps, floats, and when entering and exiting aircraft. Please do not hesitate to take extra time or to seek assistance in moving about facilities or on and off our aircraft, as your safety is our highest priority.
General Guidelines: FARES: While generous, our special fares are limited per flight. Some one way fares are based upon round trip purchase. After these fares sell out normal fares will apply. St. Croix-St. Thomas $80 seaplane flights are available during off peak, weekends, and holidays but may also be available at other times. $99 Introductory fares are limited to 2 seats per flight and only available through our reservations line and are good through August 31, 2009 and may be booked through the end of June. All fares but Full and Corporate must be purchased at time of booking and are not transferable or refundable. Changes are $10 per instance plus any change in fare. RESERVATIONS: San Juan Isla Grande operates as a supplemental service with availability during the morning/midday/afternoon/evening. Passengers are allowed 30 lbs of baggage complementary with the lowest fares and 50 lbs with others.
