Below are some of the most frequently asked questions that may help you in preparing for your flight.
Q: Can I bring my pet with me?
A: Small domestic animals which are kept as pets or roosters may be transported on domestic flights for a fee. Assistance animals trained to aid persons with impaired vision and/or hearing may accompany the customer on domestic or international flights. Transportation of animals is subject to restrictions and space availability. Contact Seaborne for more information and pet fees.
Q: Can I charter a private aircraft?
A: If you wish to charter an aircraft, our charter department will be able to help you. Click here.
Q: Do I need to show photo identification at check in?
A: We do require photo identification upon check in. Please have this prepared before checking in for your flight.

Q: How long is each flight?
A: The flight times are as follows:
seaplane:
St. Thomas - St. Croix, 18 minutes
airshuttle:
St. Thomas - San Juan, 30 minutes
St. Croix- San Juan, 40 minutes

Q: How many seats are available on your aircraft?
A: Our seaplanes seat up to 15 passengers.
A: Our airshuttles seat up to 19 passengers.
Q: How soon before the flight should I check in?
St. Croix/St. Thomas Check-In (Flights Between US Virgin Islands)
Via Seaplane or AirShuttle
Check-In requirement for seaplane or airshuttle flights between the US Virgin Islands is 45 minutes prior to scheduled flight departure time. Flights are closed for check-in 20 minutes prior to flight time. Passengers who arrive after the 45 minute check in time may be placed on the stand-by list to wait for the next available flight time.
San Juan Check-In (Flights In or Out of San Juan, Puerto Rico)

San Juan airshuttle flights are closed for check-in 1 hour prior to scheduled flight departure time. To ensure on time departures, Seaborne Airlines requests that all passengers arrive well before the closing time of 1 hour prior. Passengers who arrive right at or after the 1 hour flight closing time may be placed on the stand-by list to wait for the next available flight time.
These Check-In policies will be enforced as of January 31st, 2009. We suggest you allow enough time in your plans for adequate Check-In. We appreciate your cooperation with this Check-In policy.
This advisory is an amendment to currently published Seaborne Airlines schedules and flyers. Our website reflects this change and our reservation staff is advising customers according to this current policy, effective January 31st, 2009.
Q: Is their parking available at your locations?
A: seaplane: Parking is available at seaplane locations. However, Seaborne Airlines does not manage the parking lots.
A: airshuttle: Parking is available at the St. Thomas Airport, the St. Croix Airport and Isla Grande airport. However, Seaborne Airlines does not manage the parking lots.
Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: seaplane Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
St. Croix & St. Thomas Stations - 6:00am to 6:30pm
airshuttle Airport Hours:
St. Croix, Monday thru Sunday 6:00am to 8:00pm
St. Thomas, Monday thru Sunday 8:00am to 6:00pm
San Juan, Monday thru Sunday 7:00am to 7:00pm
Reservations Hours: Monday - Friday 6:00am to 7:30pm, Saturday 6:00am to 6:30pm
and Sunday 7:00am to 6:30pm.
Q: What is the cost to fly between the islands?

Q: What is the luggage allowance per passenger?
A: The allowable luggage per person is 30lbs. Baggage in excess of 30lbs will incur an additional charge of $1.50 per lb and be transported on a space available basis.
Q: What type of aircraft do you operate?

Q: "I'm concerned about landing on the water, is it safe?"
A: Water landings, although not common in the airline industry are actually safer than landing on a runway since the aircraft can always be pointed into the wind with less concern for a cross wind.

Q: When I get to my destination what is the best way to get a rental car?
A: AVIS is our car rental partner. When you make your booking an agent can book the car rental at the same time and get you our Avis discount! At this time there is no AVIS rental car facility at the Isla Grande Airport in San Juan.
